I used to listen to my dad's album when I was young. I took my husband to see JCS at The Orpheum in Omaha Nebraska today. His performance and voice are still top notch. It was amazing. Thank you.

Hi, Sir Teddy

What's up? Hope you are in good health. by the way, I just want to share another picture with you. That guy who is carrying a kid is the Christ-figure of my favorite TV series here in the Philippines titled MAY BUKAS PA, that TV series just ended recently and touches the life of many Filipinos as well, I just don't know about the Filipinos outside Philippines if they catch this TV series. The kid is the Miracle Boy of the said series who was adopted by the Priest of the Monastery. So far so good, this show really inspires me also. wink. the only thing I don't know is the name of the Christ-figure guy because I think he is just new in the TV industry and he never faces the camera at the TV series, so it is my first time to see his face at that picture. Hope you like the picture. If you can only understand my native language then I can tell you the website of that series so you can watch it also smile. Hope this can make you smile, take care and God bless!!!

Arlene

P.S.
That guy is known by the name of BRO only, BRO is another name of Jesus Christ in that TV series. And I have no idea also if that guy is a Filipino, guess he is a non-Filipino.

Went to yesterday's performance in Omaha at the Orpheum Theater. Ted, I'd seen you perform 37 years ago and loved it. Lately, my faith had been waivering because of a lot of different reasons. Needing a boost, I went by myself, got one ticket, 4 row orchestra, dead center and knew every lyric to every single song. Somehow, as you sang, Ted, I felt that you spoke for me and you spoke to me..."tried for 3 years - feels like 90". And I began to feel the spirit re-energize within myself. I am not a church-going person, but I am a spiritual person and I needed that boost that your performance and the wonderful cast around you gave to me. Thank you, Ted. And by the way, you still look great 37 years later! And your voice is amazing.

I not only have the movie, I have been to see the play Jesus Christ Superstar 12 times. I have talked to Ted often, as he kindly greets everyone who stops by. My sister Donna is the main person I go with but we have brought other family members. when we brought our younger sister and he spoke to us, she later said "He thinks he's Jesus." To which I replied, "No, he thinks LIKE Jesus." If you've met him you know what I mean.

Just saw your brilliant performance last night at the thrilling C.Y.Stephens Auditorium at Iowa State University -- what a great show!

As with many concert halls, Stephens has been 'hit' by the entrance into this region of a new sports/show arena in Des Moines -- so most of what used to come to the ISU Center, either the concert hall or the arena, now instead go there, or to the Civic Center in DM, so we miss out on loads of the most current tours that always used to come here.

So -- a lot of what comes to Ames now isn't exactly the 'top of the heap', especially as far as Broadway roadshows are concerned, and many times the 2400-seat Stephens is only half-full.

But one of the ushers last night told me that they were a total sell-out for Superstar! We were in the 10th row (I have to sit in the handicapped seats on the far right side) and I could see that even the 2nd balcony looked full! And all of the seats in the loges were packed, too! A really super turnout!

We were sitting next to a theater design prof, and he said that he told ALL of his students that they'd be fools not to take advantage of going to see Superstar, as it was one of the great stagings of all time, and also because ISU had made the price for students incredibly low -- $20, I think.

Wonderful show, beautiful music, outstanding voices -- Judas was a 'wow' for sure!, as were many of the other supporting singers -- and a real trip down memory lane!

Thank you thank you thank you! Loved it!

Hello! I just wanted to say thanks for a wonderful performance in Fresno, CA a couple of weeks ago. The show really brought the story of Jesus to life in such an incredibly moving way. Even as a deeply religious person, I have to admit some of the doubts in my mind were laid to rest that night, and replaced by belief.

After having seen your production at least eight times, starting about fifteen years ago, when I was taking my children, I took a twelve year-old granddaughter and her best friend to the show in Ames tonight. On the way there I explained JCS background and history to them. I got their interest when I told them that the same man who wrote the lyrics for The Lion King had written the lyrics for JCS. I was very moved by the show, as always. I was not sure what their reaction would be. I was delighted by their enthusiasm after wards. They talked for half an hour straight about different parts they had liked - they were clearly playing attention. They thanked me several times for taking them, stating "That was great, I liked the part...." We talked about how you have been doing this for several years, and that someday someone else might have to assume the face of the show. My granddaughter Ellie's response was, "Yes, maybe, but no one else could nail it like he does!"

TN & Crew,

Thanks for your performance of JCS at Iowa State University! I can't tell you all how wonderful it was to experience -- and how wonderful it was to see again after first seeing the film production over 30 years ago.

Thank you, Ted, for what you have given us all through your talents and through JCS...

Hi Ted,

I'm looking forward to seeing JC Superstar in Pittsburgh on March 7th at the Benedum Theater.
I saw your previous performance in Pittsburgh and was so moved by the show that I had to immediately buy tickets for this show for my daughters and I! No other actor could portray this role as well as you. You are wonderful. Please have a meet and greet after your 2:00 performance on Sunday March 7th as we would love to meet you.

Thank you and best wishes.

Sincerely,
Nancy

smile As a teen in VA near Wolftrap (in the 70s), I listened to JC Superstar incessantly - and sang many of the songs, sitting in front of my mirror! Now 52, I recently bought the CD and again am singing all the songs (though, not in front of the mirror!)I am excited to learn that JC Superstar will be in Augusta, ME 2/25. I am definitely going to try to be there.

To all who have not seen the movie, go out and get it! Ted and Norman speak so lovingly about the cast and what the making of the movie meant to them. I first saw the movie in 72. Hadn't seen it since. but I remember how it touched me. I recently saw Ted was playing in Casper, Wyoming on Feb. 1st, yet things are tight and I knew I couldn't afford to travel 400 miles and get a hotel room. So I started looking for the movie. Ted's play was at 7pm feb 1st. I found the movie at 6:45 on the 1st at a video joint at out mall. I've never been an overly religious man...But, how can you not be moved by the performances in this movie? The passion, The angelic voices, ect. If you aren't affected by the performances in some way, you must not have a heart. I can't remember any movie where the acting was so inspiring.
Thank you Ted
From my heart to your's...God Bless.

Dear Ted,
I am a true fan of Jesus Christ Superstar and have the movie. I've made my husband watch it so many times that even he knows the songs and dances.

I had the amazing priviledge to see you perform along with Carl Anderson as Judas (May he rest in peace) in Cleveland Ohio quite a few years ago. I thought that would be the last time I'd see you play Jesus.

Today I happened to turn my tv on and see an advertisement for the latest dates for J.C.S. with you headlining it. I jumped for joy!! I now live in PA and my husband is ordering tickets for the Feb. 19th show at the Warner theatre in Erie.

I am ecstatic & so is he. We look forward to sharing this magical experience with you.

Thank you again for being part of this amazing story.

God Bless you & your family,
Craig & Diane Anderson

I have places to go and things to do so I am trying to dig out of the snow here in Oklahoma! The president has declared our state a disaster area and I pray for those who have lost power, homes, crops and livestock! We‘ve been running around helping those stranded out on the highway and back roads. Here in my little part of the world we are blessed to just be able to enjoy the beauty of such a winter storm, and the lay of our lovely land blanketed in white. We have also come up with some daring new forms of entertainment in the snow, but don’t tell my momma or I’ll be in trouble. If I have to hook some dogs up to my sled I am going to try and make it up North to see Jesus Christ Superstar in Wichita! I am thinking that after I see the show in Wichita, my last show will be in Fort Smith, Arkansas. I always think…this is that last time I will see Mr. Neeley in this role. I thought that back in Dallas in 1994! And, well that was 67 shows ago and beat goes on. God willing and the crick don’t rise or freeze I’ll be there Wednesday night. I am looking forward to seeing the new cast again now that they have performed together for a few more shows. I hope the cast stay safe and warm. PEACE!

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to know something about the Montreal and Quebec dates in May on the schedule.

Are they confirmed?

I ask because there's nothing about JCS on the web sites of La Place des Arts (Montreal) or Le Capitole (Quebec city).

Thanks,

Jean-Francois

Saw the show in Portland, OR last week. It was wonderful!

We really wanted to stick around afterward to say thank you in person but were staying with friends since it's a couple hours to get home; they were waiting up to let us in, something crazy about needing to get to sleep...

Anyway, I just wanted to thank you so much for coming to Oregon! It's a tough night being a Monday in January, we never know ahead of time if the roads will be clear enough to get around. I'm so glad the weather was nice and you were able to come. The man who works at my bookstore went as well. He said his wife cried through the whole show. It's a very moving performance, just can't say thanks enough and please come again!

My daughter and I cannot wait for the Feb 12th show in IN, we always enjoy our road trips...Ted and cast as always it sounds like you are still making people happy, Josalyn is only 13 and this is will be her 3rd play, she was very moved with the first show.
She made you a necklace to give you at the 2nd play but is the last one of the tour and you were unable to come out-she understood and has hung on to it so we hope to see you on the 12th
God bless to all

Dear Mr. Neeley,
How well you sing, and with such passion. I am glad that you believe in the son of God, and that you consider yourself a messenger for him. That is what he wanted us all to be, to be a messenger of the message of hope of his father's kingdom, of which he is now a king, and will continue to be for a thousand years. He is the greatest man who ever lived, and your portraying him (Jesus) naturally draws people to you.
You can still sing so very well. I enjoyed watching one of your performances (2006) on YouTube. I will probably never see your show, but I am happy to hear that you are still given the power to continue to do so.

I took my oldest granddaughter to the show in Missoula on Thursday and we loved it. She is 16 and was awestruck after the very song. She just turned to me and said WOW! Told her Mom that it was just awesome rock. JCS has another fan. Thankyou and the cast for making a wonderful memory for Kaity.
