Hello ALL!! I've been on travel, mostly for business. Just got back and will try to catch up with everything here. The guest book is quiet ... not so much with email. Don't worry. I'll get to it all in time. Stay in the AC! It's deadly out there!
Be well my friends, Morgan

I have looked at Ranger Texas on Google earth, and I must say, what a quaint old western American town! It is interesting to imagine young Ted screaming rock and roll and dreaming of having his own band in that sleepy town. I would think it is an excellent place to grow dreams and be inspired by the isolation of the area. I would love to visit Ranger.

Aloha Y'all: Just back from a week in Hawaii - hubbie is parked in front of the TV because THE OPEN (say that with as much reverence as you would Ted's name ), so I have a few moments to catch up on e-mail and get my NOTR fix.
Ran into a bit of excitement while I was there. They were filming the new Hawaii Five-O - had a blessing ceremony and everything! So if you watch it and you see McGarrett and Dano drive up to the Hilton lobby - I was there!!!!
Mary Monday, July 19, 2010 12:23 AM
Hi, Julieann! So now you're ready for your big movie debut, huh? Glad you got to see some of the action while you were there.
|
Ann Stickford Monday, July 19, 2010 11:01 AM
Julie - isn't it fun to watch the
filming of a series or movie -
a lot different than just watching it all done!! That was my favorite part of have rein of
the studios in the late '70's in
CA - love to watch the behind the scene stuff - so many great
experiences doing such!!
Glad you had a great trip!!

I have seen the stage version of JCS numerous times and enojyed it every time. I remember one time, right before the show, they announced Ted wasn't going to able to perform because he wasn't feeling well. There was an audible sigh over the whole theater. Anyway, I own the movie version as well which I love because it is done on locations in Israel.

Guy walks into the barber shop
Barber says, "What will it be today?"
Guy says, "Well, I want it going with my waves on top,
folded on one side,
plug the other
and just make it all out of shape and messed up."
Barber says, "Now why in the world
do you want your hair cut like that?"
Guy says, "That's how you cut it last time!"
----
 Enquiring minds wanna know:
have you still got those lovely locks
or did you don a crew cut on a dare (HA!)
Just curious ...

Hi Ted - Just realized Nigel Lytgoe's
foundation is Dizzy Feet Foundation --
but hope Rubicon will dance away on
July 31st for the National Dance Day!
Going back to AZ to cool off!! Jeepers,
I left there to go to cooler weather, and
our heat index has been 110 lately!
Hope you are taking some time to relax!!
HA!, yeah, right!! Ted relaxing?! Just take care of yourself -- please! My best
to your family and friends out there -- give Alan a call --
And Morgan, you take care, too!

Hi Ted, Morgan, and Everyone -- just wanted to post to everyone how excited I am -- yesterday, I sold my first acrylic
painting!! (no, Ted, not one of the drawing of you -- those aren't for sale!! HA!) Our class is hoping to do a small
show on Sat, but waiting to see if there is
space for us!
Feels so good to be doing my artwork again - if I were closer to Rubicon, I could take the Stinky-Feet Workshop!! and
then my next step is to play tennis again - would meet all my main loves in
life (at least the none person types!! HA! )
Just wanted to share!
As ever,
Ann
Lori Monday, July 19, 2010 09:17 AM
Ann - Congrats on the sale! It must be very gratifying to have someone show that much appreciation for your art. Are your Ted drawings posted somewhere for us to enjoy?
Lori
|
Ann Stickford Monday, July 19, 2010 11:08 AM
Hi ----didn't sell anything at
the art show on Sat, but we were
invited back, and the promoter
apologized for the location we
had - said he would put us up front this time - -it was so much
fun, and even tho I didn't sell anything, happy to go -- will have a couple more paintings finished by then!

SMILE (Uncle Kracker)
You´re better then the best
I´m lucky just to linger in your life
Cooler then the flip side of my pillow that´s right
Completely unaware
Nothing can compare to where you send me
Lets me know that it´s ok yeah it´s ok
And the moments when my good times start to fade
You make me smile like the sun
Fall out of bed
Sing like a bird
Dizzy in my head
Spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night
You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold
Buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Ohh you make me smile
Even when you´re gone
Somehow you come along
Just like a flower poking through the sidewalk crack and just like that
You steal away the rain and just like that
You make me smile like the sun
Fall out of
bed sing like bird
Dizzy in my head spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night
You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold
buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Ohh you make me smile
Don´t know how I lived without you
Cuz everytime that I get around you
I see the best of me inside your eyes
You make me smile
You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold
buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
You make me smile like the sun
Fall out of bed
sing like bird
Dizzy in my head
spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night
You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold
buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Ohh you make me smile
Ohh you make me smile
Ohh you make me smile
p.s.: Ted, i hope you won't find it weird that i keep posting songs here....love, Jill

At last it is a little better from those others which I took recently, so hope you like this one. By the way, some promoters here like Ovation Productions here in Manila and Steve O Neal Productions can bring lots of Foreign Performer here, maybe you can try to call them, but I will look for their telephone number first and I will write a message to you again. For now just enjoy your time okay God bless!!!

Jill...some people just don't "get it"..they don't like the music or songs and they do not understand the depth of emotion that watching the movie or seeing the production or even singing the songs can bring..that is just something that you will have to bear I am afraid..but we get it..we understand and it hits us the same way so you are not alone there matey. It will be something that you take on your journeys through your life and for that you are lucky..enjoy it and embrace it...a fellow kiwixxxxxxxx

howdy Ted!
i don't know if it's right to bring this out in the open but i don't actually have anyone to talk to about this and besides i think my fellow Tedheads here would understand....
so, i was just a bit upset with my mom because she just told me that she's getting tired of hearing me singing Jesus Christ Superstar songs and watching the movie. she said that it seems to take so long for my JCS obsession to wane. i know that she could tell me anything but i couldn't help feeling hurt by that. my mom's not really a fan, you know. she doesn't really like the song "Superstar" for some reasons....sorry
anyway, i'm not gonna bore you further but i just gotta say, that no matter what anyone says, i'm still a true-blue JCS fan and a Tedhead as well not that im disobeying my mom, or something...it's just that i can't explain how ecstatic JCS makes me feel. well, i can always sneak up behind her back, right? and i only want to say, thanks heaps, mate let's just hope my mom changes her heart 'cos she doesn't know what she's missing....

I am so glad I was able to see the show last January when you were at the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara. I hope you got the tin of fresh cookies I made for you. I had hoped to give them to you personally, but you didn't stay to greet the audience that night. I gave the cookies to a lady named Brenda, who said she was (I think) your wardrobe person. She promised to give you the cookies the following morning. I hope she did.
Now that you live just down the road, I hope to bump into you now and then at the Rubicon. Or maybe up here.
I am glad for you though that you get to spend some time with the family. And that you can have a well-deserved vacation. You have enriched my life over the years, all of us who love you will miss seeing you in the show, and we all wish you well.
